For the Love of Animals!

My children are the opposite in many ways but in one way they are much the same...stuffed animals.

It all started with Brooke. She got her first kitty from Papa Don and Grammy Marsha on her first Christmas. We celebrated in Virginia. Since that time she has collected over 20. Although she doesn't insist on sleeping with them every night anymore, she does still have two of them that don't leave her side!
Ty found his love of stuffed animals in the form of horses, not kitties. He has also collected many. His favorite part is twirling his finger in their hair. It has saved my hair from being pulled out by him many times! He has three horses that don't leave his side. One is a huge horse blanket. I did have to cut their hair a bit as he got his finger wrapped so tightly in their hair that it cut of the circulation to his finger.
I just love my babies : )

TTT December Kit Reveal

Hey everyone. Hard to believe it is January already. Christmas came way too fast this year with Thanksgiving being so late. I certainly don't feel like I had enough time to enjoy to holiday season! Yet, it was a very blessed and wonderful season! I had some time during my break to catch up on some scrapbooking for TTT and Gotsketch!

Here are a few layouts I created with Transparent Touches Dec Kit #2. I loved the paper in the this kit. It made creating layouts a breeze!

This piece of patterned paper was perfect for adding pictures from Christmas with our family.

And this was another easy piece to work with as all I had to do was add the picture and a few extra embellishments! We took this family picture at the horse farm.
And the calendar paper was perfect for remembering family we visited with during the month of December!
This is the layout I created using the sketch given to the Design Team. We had beautiful weather over Christmas break and spent one evening at the beach!

I created a monthly scrapbook with the acrylic album that came with the kit. I plan to take a picture of the kids together each month throughout the year!
And here is a layout I created with Bella Blvd.'s Christmas Wishes. I used a TTT transparency on the bottom left corner.
You will have to wait to see the Gotsketch layouts I created until after they are revealed. I can't wait to see what January has in store for us!

I can't believe tomorrow is December 1st! But it doesn't come before celebrating my 36th birthday today. I am reminded every day of how blessed I am to have such a wonderful family and group of friends!

The Greenman clan will be busy as ever this December. I started my December Daily album to record every step! I have a lot of scrapping to do and I am truly enjoying working with Valerie Salmon and the whole Gotsketch Masters team!! I'd have to say the highlight of my month was Michigan's win over Ohio State and this picture I got of my beautiful and handsome family:

My mom was here last week and we enjoyed a week of baking cookies, decorating the house, and visiting Scirocco everyday on the farm. He has become a big part of our family and I love watching Brooke learn to trust him more and more each day. She wouldn't even stand 10 ft in front of him and now she picks up his hooves to clean out his feet!

I wish all my friends and family a blessed holiday season! May Santa be good to you : )

We're back!

What a whirlwind adventure Adam and I had on our overseas cruise. The sights were AMAZING and I loved spending time with Adam. The trip back wasn't as wonderful but hey, we made it! It only took 43+ hours!

This Monday my horse will be coming down to South Carolina from Michigan. I have been waiting for this day for a long time. I can't wait to get back to that part of my life again...riding! What a blessing.

My mom will be here for Thanksgiving and I can't wait to decorate the house for Christmas and make Christmas cookies. This is my favorite time of year.

I will post pictures from our trip this weekend. I still have ALOT of catching up to do!

Here are some more layouts I've created recently.

Here is one of us on the first Saturday of Michigan football this year. We aren't excited at all! LOL! Ty still fits in his jersey and Adam's parents bought us a new flag for outdoors. The other flag had holes in it...such true fans : ) So far so good for Michigan. Hope they can keep it up!
Here is a layout from Skytop Orchard. We went on a weekend trip last weekend and stayed with our friends Josh and Sarah. It was warm all week but cooled off for the weekend. When we arrived in the mountains it was only 52 degrees, hence the jackets, gloves, and hats! We had a blast! We actually got to pick apples off the trees this year. We still enjoyed apple cider doughnuts and apple slushies. They had a new doughnut: pumpkin=yummy! We bought tons of apples and cider and made my mom's apple crisp the night we got home. This is ALWAYS a favorite yearly trip of mine. We also spent the night walking around downtown Greenville. It's gorgeous there!

Next week I should have some WONDERFUL pictures and layouts from our trip to the apple orchard in the NC mountains. It's become an annual tradition to go and always proves to be a ton of fun. Although the best part are the apple cider donuts and apple cider slushies!!

Fall is in the Air!

Wow...fall has arrived! Well, at least for a couple days. The weather changes SO much down here. Anyhow, we had the air off and the windows open all weekend. It was so nice to air out the house from the hot summer. Unfortunately, it comes with pollen and stuffy noses. Ty and Brooke both are feeling pretty stuffy : (

Brooke had another great soccer game! She is really starting to build her confidence and get in there with the boys! Here is a picture of her scoring her first goal!

Of course, football started and Michigan is off to a great start. Let's hope they can keep it up : ) Here is a picture I took a couple weekends ago. I'm not sure who is more excited for football, Ty or Daddy!

Football season means LOTS of time with our friends and family. We had a wonderful time at the Beck's this past Saturday. It was so nice outside, they put up a sheet in the back yard with the projector to watch the game.

I can't believe it is already September 19th. Time is flying. I am getting excited, and nervous, for October. So many trips planned such as the apple orchard, Adam's annual golf outing with the boys, and our big trip over sea. It is also time for Grammy Marsha to visit and the kids to get dressed up for Halloween. It is going to be another busy month but I wouldn't change it for the world!

Wow, I'm on a roll with blogging. So proud of myself : ) Now, if I could just teach my mom how to get to my blog???

Brooke has been in school 14 days and is already writing sentences, reading several sight words, and counting by 10's. We are SO blessed that she got Mrs. Ferson as her teacher along with Mrs. Mann. WE WERE ALSO VERY BLESSED THAT HER PAPA WORKED WITH HER EVERY DAY HE WATCHED HER!! She is also getting more creative than ever which is always wonderful for a creative mommy to see. I love snatching her creations from her to use on scrapbook pages. Here are a few I've created in the past with her pictures. I can't wait to collect more to scrapbook!!

Fall and Football

Ok, so its' not officially fall yet but with football starting tomorrow I'm celebrating early : ) I got out all the fall decorations (including our huge Michigan plate) and plan on making apple crisp tomorrow. I know...I'm crazy...but fall IS my favorite season!! The kids have some GREAT Michigan apparel for this season so I can't wait to get my camera out. I may need to shop for some cute fall clothes for our traditional apple picking trip though. Wonder what Adam will think of that.

Well, it's definitely been a Monday! Except I was SO excited when I got home to see a box filled with new scrapbook goodies for the fall. I received my Jillibean and My Mind's Eye papers : )

We already have our fall trip to the mountains planned. We probably won't see much color change this year but hope to be able to pick apples from the trees. In years past, the apples have been gone off the trees before we arrive : ( I can taste those yummy apple cider donuts now!! I marked the day on the calendar so Brooke started the countdown!!

I had a great weekend with my family and finished everything I needed for applying as a design team member for Bella Blvd. Wish me luck! I applied for layouts and altered albums. I will find out later this month.

Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful, restful week! Sure do miss all my family up north.

Hurricane Irene

So I got an unexpected day off today : ) We've had a tropical storm warning all day with some rain and wind. I was somewhat disappointed we missed school, since we have to make it up, but have truly enjoyed spending the day with my little ones. I even got an hour nap in!!

We were able to get up to CVS to get some photos developed so Brooke and I can scrapbook tonight. It is SO fun watching my little girl create. I will be working on some layouts for Bella Blvd. I am trying out for their design team. Not sure I will make it but it's worth a try since they are one of my favorite scrapbook manufacturers!

Hello Again

So my "before" New Year's resolution is to keep up with my blog more. Life can get a bit overwhelming at times...like these past 7 days...but no more excuses. Brooke starts kindergarten tomorrow. UGH! Where does the time go? I am so sad to see her grow up so fast but so excited about her new adventure. Luckily, she will be at school with me and my break will be during her lunch time.

I always get a bit nervous about starting another year but I'm often reminded from family and friends that it will all be ok! I don't know what I would do without them.

I have been scrapping ALOT this summer. I am NO procrastinator so I have finished scrapping all my Michigan pics from our vacation in June/July. Brooke has also started scrapping with me. It makes me smile watching her create her own pages.

Well, back to school work tonight. Here are a few pages to share!

I am so bad at updating my blog. If only I had more time. LOL! Well, since the last time I posted we have celebrated many birthdays, holidays, and family fun events. Ty is now almost a year-and-a-half and in a couple short weeks my baby girl will be 5. I can't believe how time flies. I so wish I could freeze time and keep them at the age they are at now. We went on many trips last fall including a week in Colorado for Kevin and Whitney's wedding, a weekend in Kentucky with mom, a weekend with friends in Greenville, and a week in Disney with just Brooke and I and my sister's family. Well, we made it home from Michigan. We had SO much fun I can't wait to go back next year. The kids were FABULOUS!! We spent a week in Pentwater and a week in Kalamazoo visiting friends and family. Then, we saw Aunt Whitney at her wedding shower, spent time with Grandma and Grandpa Moore, and stayed with Aunt Jenn in Ohio. The best part, I got to see the birth of my niece Carleigh!! Yet, after three weeks, we are SO glad to be home. Here are some pics from our trip!

June has proved to be a VERY busy month. I just finished a week of Camp Invention and start summer enrichment next week. Then, it is finally time to head home to Michigan. I can't wait to enjoy reasonable summer temps!!

Here are a couple layouts I created with the TTT June Kit #2.

Ty loves cherrios. In fact, he would rather feed himself than have mommy give it to him on a spoon. My least favorite time of the day is trying to feed him. Actually, if I feed him outside in his stroller it isn't so bad!

This is a classic! I know Brooke will dislike me VERY much some day for taking this picture and actually creating a scrapbook page about it. Sorry sweetie but this is too darn funny : )
Adam told me Ty will dislike me as much for this layout as Brooke will dislike me for the last one. Ty can actually blame it on Papa since he's the one who put the girl hat on him : )
And here is the cover of the mini album I made for Adam for Father's Day. We thought of all of daddy's favorites: food=salad, color=blue, sport=football, team=Michigan, girl=Brooke, boy=Ty!!

So, I ventured into the world of digital scrapbooking. I found some great, free digital kits and created a couple layouts. I must thank my wonderful husband for helping me through this ordeal. I am NOT patient when it comes to learning new technology. It always seems more complicated than it should be. Well, here are the three layouts I created.

Hey everyone! It's been quite a week. As the kids realize they are close to the end of the year they become very restless! So, it's been exhausting. Not to mention being busy planning for three weeks of summer school.

Well, the Turtle Trot was a blast. I surprised Brooke by inviting her best friend Lydia. They were troopers. They walked/ran the whole mile in the scorching heat! They even had enough energy to play afterwards. Then, we enjoyed a great lunch together before heading home. Papa did a great job as the College of Charleston mascot...the cougar. I'm surprised he didn't pass out from the heat. Here are some pics:

Not much planned for this weekend. I have training all morning Saturday and I think Adam will be golfing for charity on Sunday. Next week is our last full week of school. Can't wait to spend my time with my babies. I think Papa deserves a much needed break as well ; )

WOW! Twice in one week. It's a new record!

Not much has happened but pretty soon we will be BUSY! School is winding down. Only 14 days left. Two of which are half days. It's hard to believe I started the year by having a baby boy! What a blessing! It certainly was tough going back to school but my class has been awesome. I am really going to miss them, as I do each year : ) I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Brooke will get into a full day preschool program. She would love it! Ty will get to go back with Papa so he can teach Ty all the wonderful things he taught Brooke. I'm sure Ty will have some new things to teach Papa too!

The 4th annual Turtle Trot is Saturday. Papa is going to be the College of Charleston mascot! LOL! I signed him up for it : ) Brooke and I have gone each year since the first Turtle Trot. This year her best friend Lydia is going with us. I'll have pics to post this weekend!

Long Time

Ok! So I'm not good at keeping up with my blog......PAPA : ) Hey! I'm one busy lady but soon to be enjoying summer vacation. Well, after teaching three weeks of summer school. It's hard to think my little girl could be going to preschool next year in preparation for kindergarten the following year. I'm not sure how Papa will handle it.....I'm not sure how Brooke will handle it. I see alot of sleep overs in the near future!

Tyler will be 9 months old this month. Man I'm old! LOL! They are both growing up too fast. I wouldn't be surprised if Ty starts walking before he is a year old. His new favorite thing is eating finger food....especially cherrios!

Today was our day to upload our new layouts to the TTT User Gallery using the May kits. I went a little crazy this month. We only have to create 4 layouts but I created 7. I just loved this kit. Happy Spring! The flowers are blooming, the pollen is falling, and my allergies are AWFUL! I can't complain though, everyone is happy, healthy, and doing well. My mom is coming to visit this week and Brooke is counting down the days. We have SO much planned. I am going to be after her about scrapping for sure. She has so much stuff but never finds the time to create with it so now is the time. It will be perfect since the website I design for www.transparenttouches.com is having an online crop while she is here. It will be April 8-11. There will be 12 challenges and tons of games and prizes. It's easy to join if you are not a member. Check out the website for details.

Well, tomorrow is the first day of spring and we kicked it off with a trip to the beach with Grammy Bonnie. We ended it with a wonderful dinner as well. The little ones were well behaved and now all is quiet as they dream peacefully in bed......at least until 4:00 AM : )

Tyler is growing like a weed. He can sit up now and loves crawling backwards for the most part but also sometimes forwards. He has 4 1/2 teeth and is working on the other 1 1/2. Brooke turned 4 and had an awesome party with friends and family.

So we had a winter storm in the south...1"-3" of snow. WOW : ) I thought a snow storm required 2'-3' of snow! Either way we had a blast playing in the snow. This was the second time Brooke has seen snow but the first time she can remember. She started off excited but quickly realized how cold snow really is. Here are some pics from our adventure.

So, Brooke has decided she wants to start riding lessons. Grammy Marsha and I were SO excited. For her 4th birthday Grammy Marsha bought her a helmet and paddock boots and I bought her a wash bucket filled with brushes and extra goodies. We even got Grammy Bonnie and Papa Gary in on the action. They bought her a pair of riding pants! Even though it was pouring down rain during her first lesson she learned to steer Peanut with the reins. She actually steered her into all the mud puddles. Peanut wasn't so excited : ) Brooke even trotted and laughed the whole time. I think I'm in trouble. She is fearless!! Here are a couple pictures from her first lesson.

Wow....twice in one month. I am so proud of myself!

Well, Tyler turned 5 months yesterday. I can't believe it. We were able to take some great family pictures as well. Brooke became a photographer herself by taking some much needed pics of daddy and mommy together. I don't usually get in any of the pics since I'm always the one behind the camera!

Well, I am no better at blogging than I was before. It is now the new year and we are plugging along. Ty had a wonderful first Christmas, I mean sick-mas. Ty, Brooke, and I were SO sick! Luckily we are all on the mends and enjoying a long weekend. Brooke had an awesome 3rd Christmas. She even saw Santa on Christmas morning....thanks Papa! He brought her a brand new princess bike and a doll house!

Tyler will be five months next weekend. I can't believe how much he has grown. I guess we are so much busier now than we were with Brooke so it is going by so fast. That's why my new year's resolution is to slow down and enjoy my family and friends more. It hasn't been easy but I think I'm off to a good start.

Well, today was my first day back at school. It went really well but I was extremely sad to leave my little ones. Of course Brooke and Ty had a fabulous time at Papa's house. I certainly don't know what we'd do if Papa didn't take care of them.

We have alot of events planned for the next couple weeks including a visit to the apple orchard. I can't wait to have an apple doughnut with hot apple cider! I am also looking foward to seeing the fall colors. I will be posting pics when we get back!

Ok, I am BAD with blogging. I just spend too much time visiting other sites on the computer : ) So, my end of the year resolution is to blog more....I hope!!

Alot has changed in the past 7 months. We welcomed a beautiful, bouncing boy to our lives. Tyler Dylan was born on August 23rd! The story of his birth is one to be told for many generations thanks to daddy!!
Mommy goes back to work next week. I am so sad but knowing that they will be in Papa's care makes everything good!!

Brooke is getting bigger than ever. She is so full of life : ) She is the best big sister ever and, besides the occasional temper tantrum, has adjusted well to life with little Ty Ty!

Not much going on these days besides being a Mommy and adjusting to our new life. It is challenging but I wouldn't want it any other way!!

Told you I was bad at updating my blog. Since I last blogged Adam and I received some great news....we are pregnant with our second child. I have been extremely sick. Something I never experienced with Brooke. Anyhow, I haven't been doing much at all...which includes blogging.

Brooke just celebrated her 3rd birthday. Here is a picture from her celebration:

Her day started with Daddy taking her to Playhouse Disney. Then, Papa, Grammy and Uncle Scott came over for hot dogs, macaroni, and cake. She finished the night opening presents. It was small and wonderful!!

Hee Hee! I am SO bad at updating my blog. Well, here it goes.

We had a very BUSY weekend doing holiday things! First, we took Brooke to the zoo and then to the lights display at the zoo the same night. She LOVED seeing all the animals and lights. Her favorite part was riding on the train. Here are a few pics:

I am working on my layouts for Transparent Touches. I am loving the kit I am working with. Even though we don't get snow here the winter kit is turning out to be GREAT!!

Hey everyone! Hope October is treating you well. We took our family vacation this past weekend to the mountains. It was a blast! We spent Saturday morning enjoying the outdoor scenery and spent the afternoon at the apple orchard. This year I bought Blushing Gold apples but Adam stuck to his favorite, Gala! Brooke had so much fun walking through the pumpkins and picking apples. She also got to play on the swing set and pet the goats and sheep. She loved the slushy apple cider and the apple cider doughnuts! I will post some pics later. I bought three special outfits for our trip!!

I just finished making apple crisp. Had to call my mom and Don to brag!!

Hey y'all! Hope everyone is well. We are sitting here today waiting for Tropical Storm Hanna to hit : ) It should not be too bad so we decided not to evacuate. I did stress out and pack EVERYTHING I could but decided to put it all away. We may lose electricity tonight but hopefully not. We bought plenty of food and water to live through the weekend!!! I'm not sure living by the beach is all it's cracked up to be : )

In the mean time here are a couple pictures to celebrate the start of football season!!

Ok, I am trying to get better at updating my blog. I started back to school last week and I have been exhausted. To keep me going my favorite scrapping site is having a blog party!! Oh my gosh its been a long time since I posted on my blog. Too much other stuff to do!! We had a big summer of traveling to Michigan, North Carolina, and Florida. Brooke LOVED seeing Mickey Mouse. Now we are settled back home and I'm back to school. Although I never like watching the summer end, it will be nice to be back in a routine!! Happy School Year Y'all!!

It has been a LONG time since I last posted. If fact, it hasn't been since last July. EEEE!! Alot has happened since then..holidays have been celebrated, I started working at a new, fabulous school, Brooke turned 2, and my in-laws are now official residents of SC!! Brooke has spent the year with her Papa and they are inseperable!!

This past week my mom came to visit and we had a blast. We visited all the local scrapbook stores and all other stores that carry scrapbook stuff, we went riding, saw mom's horses, saw My Pretty Pone Live (Brooke loved it so much she cried when we left!!), went to a beautiful plantation and enjoyed spring flowers, attended birthday parties for Brooke's friends, and went to the beach. Whew!

Well, we are back from our trip home. Brooke and I had so much fun. We saw all of our family and friends. Upon our return I started my summer "to do list." I painted the foyer, front door, shutters, and trim inside and outside. I also power washed the house and cleaned the carpets and floor boards. I organized the garage, Brooke's clothes, and kitchen. WHEW!! I still need to paint the front porch but I'm a little burned out. Brooke hasn't been feeling well either. This week I am getting ready to set up my room for school. I am not looking forward to leaving my little girl but I am looking forward to my new school!! Hope everyone has a great August. I can't wait until the fall!!

Well, our summer is off to a fast start. We have been to the beach a couple times and the pool as well. Brooke loves the water more and more each time we go!! We try to go outside as much as possible but it's been VERY warm. We are going home to Michigan in a couple weeks for the 4th!! We are daring to go on another airplane ride alone (just me and Brooke)! Wish us luck!

Here is a picture from Brooke's first birthday party and Grandpa and Grandma Smith's house. She had a blast. She got so many wonderful gifts and was a trooper throughout the WHOLE trip!!

Here is a scrapbook page with Brooke's Valentine picture. We had a busy week as Grandpa Greenman was here replacing our hardwood floor, putting in molding, and putting hardware on the cupboards!! We will be celebrating her first birthday in only 2 weeks!! Wow, time flies. We are flying home to Michigan to celebrate with the family!

Last weekend it was 75 degrees and sunny. I took Brooke to the beach for an adventure. She discovered sand and seashells. She wasn't too sure about the water though! We had a blast!
